The ends of the mouthpiece pass through slots in the straight cheeks. This allows the mouthpiece to move up and down slightly and the cheeks can rotate independently. It has a straight mouthpiece which can rotate.
The ends of the mouthpiece pass through slots in the straight cheeks. This allows the mouthpiece to move up and down slightly and the cheeks can rotate independently.
The mouthpiece of the bit is stamped "Hand Forged Steel".
The cheeks have curved slots behind the mouthpiece - the snaffle rein rings are attached to these slots by peanut shaped links.
The bit still has its original curb rein rings, it has one original curb hook and one nickel replacement.
Dimensions : Mouthpiece 4¾ (12cm), total cheek length ( not including curb rein rings) 6" (15cm)
