The measurements are based on the size of the vest before wash ; the vest might increase in cm when washed depending in the way its washed.

Suggested yarns:

Organic merino DK from Thelma Steimann, the yarn is 100% Organic merino wool. Approx

225m/100g in each skein. Wonderful and soft base to work with

Organic merino: 3/3/3/3/4

Circular needle 80 cm in 3,5 mm and 4 mm

Circular needle 40 cm in 3,5 .mm

Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends

2 x safety pins.

Tension gauge sample

Make sure to check your own tension before starting to knit. Cast on 20 stitches and knit 29 rows on needles 4 mm for a 10 x 10 cm sample. If tension measures too tight, change to a thicker needle. If tension measures too wide, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The vest is knitted from the bottom to the top in a circle . The piece is divided by the armpits and again for neckline and knitted from RS and WS from there. The rib on neckline and armpit is knitted after the vest has been connected together by the shoulders. The rib for the neckline can be knitted in two versions, turtle neckline or open neckline.

Yarn quantity required is based on a average , and is therefore an approximate number. The vest can be knitted in any yarn that consist of the same thickness as Organic merino DK.
