This is an Ethiopian aerogramme issued in 1967 to commemorate the Golden Anniversary of Lions International (1917–1967). The pre-printed green 10c stamp features a portrait of Emperor Haile Selassie I alongside the Lions Club emblem. The bilingual inscriptions read Air Letter / Aérogramme with bold anniversary markings.
The example shown is postally used, bearing an Addis Ababa cancellation (11-6-1967) on the front and a Dire Dawa arrival postmark (10-7-1967) on the reverse, addressed to Mr. Theo G. Michaelides. The envelope retains its colorful red, yellow, and green striped border, reflecting Ethiopia’s national colors.
Such commemorative aerogrammes are of great interest to collectors of postal stationery, Ethiopian philately, and Lions Club memorabilia, offering both thematic and postal history value.
