Tasting Notes: An impenetrable, unclimbable wall of black-purple that no thrill-seeker could defeat; yet also with a hue that is fresh, bright and alive. Ripe plums and mint, blueberry and laurel leaves, blackberry and anise and Star Anise. Wafts of a bouquet from subtle oak, but just: cinnamon and nutmeg. An earthy grip; a textural terroir. Polite boldness, apologetic strength; a voice carrying candour. Dark and savoury with berry fruit flavours flowing along the strong acid structural line. Upright and giving; rewarding rather than demanding. Barossa shiraz anew.
