The beauty of this is subtle, but to my sensibilities it is a very lovely thing--a booklet of antique German white hemp linen samples, varying one to the next just very slightly by thread count (tightness of the weave.) All are very fine, with a bit of a sheen to the linen, and each with a paper label with handwritten number near the bottom of each. The combination of black cover with handwritten label and straw tie together with page after page of white linen really does it for me.

 7 1/8" x 4". Beautiful, pretty much pristine antique condition. Each "page" is a double layer, folded at the bottom.
