The Mendocino DCAF is a slightly larger, double cut variation on Barry's original Mendocino design. These guitars are approximately 10% louder acoustically than the standard Mendocino. The DCAF features an F-hole and 14" semi hollow body rather than the typical 13.25" body size of the original single-cut Mendocino. You can expect a full and warm voice with tremendous clarity and a beautiful upper mid-range. The bass response is tight yet huge, especially for a semi-hollow body instrument of this modest size.

This Mendocino DCAF features a strait grained solid Old Growth Redwood top with a light burst finish and a one piece mahogany back and sides. The Lollar Imperial Humbuckers deliver a warm, present and focused tone with incredible dynamics and touch sensitivity. The light weight of 5lbs 4.3oz makes this an easy guitar to gig with, especially when standing for long periods of time. An absolutely great build with tons of versatility.
