After attending VCU for glass and metal material studies, Elaine apprenticed with accomplished goldsmith Gabriel Ofiesh before starting her own jewelry business. Each handmade piece begins as wire and sheet metal from refineries that recycle silver and gold, or cast pieces made from Elaine's original designs. The piece is then soldered, hammered, sanded, set, polished and photographed by a small and dedicated team of women who share a passion to foster connections with craft in the city.
