Slalom Fin – The Hammer GT Slalom/Race windsurfing fin is our elite level racing and slalom foil. Building on the success and extensive testing of the Type R we worked for more than two years to make something better. The Hammer was designed to give ultimate grip and control in a slightly more compact and powerful outline than the original Type R. This is a heavy hitting and powerful fin and hence the name seemed appropriate. The profile is very similar to the Type R and delivers excellent all-round slalom and race performance. We tweaked the foil to deliver power in a more refined way, in essence the power is more manageable with progressive release. Without loosing the low-end drive, we have successfully increased the top-end speed and control. Ideally suited for bigger riders, on bigger boards and lighter winds we have made 35 – 60cm sizes with 2.5cm increments. Riders converting from the Type R will be able to substitute the new Hammer into their range without having to buy a complete quiver (immediately).
