A red LED will flash & be accompanied by 3 long alarm beeps followed by a verbal warning that warns of fire, carbon monoxide, & low battery. The test button ensures operating power. The Kidde Smoke Detector, Lithium Battery Powered, Smoke Alarm, model P3010L, is a photoelectric smoke alarm that operates on a 10-year, sealed lithium battery, in case of power failure. Using photoelectric sensing technology, the smoke alarm detects visible fire particles (associated with smoldering fires) sooner than ionization alarms. In standby condition, the LED will flash every 60 seconds for the first 10 minutes following power on or test, and once every 10 minutes thereafter. It will also flash every 10 seconds while in Hush mode. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty. Meets requirements of UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshall, NFPA 101, FHA, & HUD.
