The same history. A bolder graphic. A higher standard of wear.
Kagnew Station — high on the Horn of Africa in Asmara, Eritrea — was one of the U.S. Army’s most strategically vital and least-known Cold War installations. From 1943 to 1977, it served as a global signals intelligence and communications relay hub, home to the 4th Detachment of the Second Signal Service Battalion. The soldiers who served there did so quietly, far from home, doing work that mattered at the highest levels of national security.
This Premium Graphic tee pairs elevated fabric quality with bold, documentary-style design — for veterans, family members, and those who carry the history forward in style.
Kagnew Station (1943–1977) | Asmara, Eritrea | U.S. Army 4th Detachment, 2nd Signal Service Battalion. The name “Kagnew” derives from an Ethiopian word meaning “to bring order out of chaos” — a motto that defined every mission conducted there.
This is more than a t-shirt. It’s a premium graphic tribute to those who served where history was made.
