I really can't decide which side of this one I like better, both are so good! This double-sided graphite drawing and watercolor I purchased along with the rest of the c. 1830s British watercolors I just listed, and had been part of the same booklet, though certainly done by a child, following the others done likely by an older sibling. I really love the sweet green and grey hound, and the lettering labeling him, and the space around him, though these two ladies with their wild bonnets and dresses and baskets and flurry of chickens at their feet are really pretty amazing--and don's miss that bird in elaborate cage seeing as if hanging from the left chimney of the house! So good, so fun.
