The epitome of Grand Seiko style with a dial inspired by morning frost

Winter arrives suddenly in Shinshu. Frost forms at night on the trees and, for a brief but beautiful moment, glistens in the morning sun before melting away. The fleeting beauty of this phenomenon is captured on the dial of SBGA465.

The stainless steel cases measures 40mm in diameter by 12.3mm in thickness, and it embodies the contemporary interpretation of the Grand Seiko Style. The case is rated to 10 bar, and a solid case back protects the movement within.

The watch is powered by Spring Drive caliber 9R65, which is hand assembled by the skilled craftsmen and women of the Shinshu Watch Studio. Thanks to Grand Seiko’s unique Spring Drive movement, the seconds hand glides silently and smoothly across the dial, perfectly reflecting the natural and continuous flow of time. The power reserve is 72 hours when fully wound and is shown on the discreet indicator next to the eight o’clock index.
