This 10 zł Polish stamp, issued in 1968, depicts Rycheza of Lorraine, Queen Consort of Poland (c. 995–1063). Born into the noble Ezzonen dynasty, she was the wife of King Mieszko II Lambert and played a key diplomatic role linking Poland to the Holy Roman Empire. The engraving, designed by S. Małecki and M. Kopecki, shows Rycheza adorned with regal robes and a crown, symbolizing both her piety and influence in medieval Europe. The ornate frame and subtle bicolour printing reflect the classical engraved style typical of Polish stamps from this period.
