Dermatologic ultrasound is an important method, being essential for diagnosing pathologic conditions. However, diagnostic imaging in dermatology goes far beyond ultrasound. Other image modalities are also available such as radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging using surface coil with specific and 3D isotropic sequences, 3D imaging reconstructions, 3D physical model and biomodeling.
