I had one crochet sampler "book" with fabric pages of this sort in the shop a couple of years ago, and have been looking at, and for, them ever since. This is the best I've held in my hands, and definitely the most extensive, with 14 fabric "pages" completely filled front and back. (There is an example in the Cooper Hewitt's collection dated 1850 that is very similar in manner, and makes me think that is likely about the age of this one--here's a link.)The samples themselves are quite accomplished and widely varied, including figurative examples and some very fine detail. And the pages themselves alternate between a lovely blue and sort of salmony-rose, both with a bit of a sheen to the fabric, and which really make the crochet samples pop. Really a terrific example. 

9" w x 6 1/2" t x 1 3/4" thick, 14 pages full on both sides of the page (so 28 faces). Very good condition, no cover, with hand-sewn binding tightly held, and just some fraying around the edges of the pages, all to the good I think. It would be pretty easy to take this apart if one wished to frame some or all of the pages, but it really has a marvelous object hood as a book.
