As featured at The 2015 SEMA Show and winner of Gran Turismo's Best in Show award at the event, the Fugu Z was dreamt up by Fast and Furious actor Sung Kang. Featured in two of the games titles - Grand Turismo Sport and Grand Turismo 7, the "Fugu" name likely comes from a story where Sung Kang had the poisonous pufferfish of the same name while dining with fellow actor Sonny Chiba after filming The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
