This heavy-duty, Old-West style, eight-and-a-half-pound (nobody wanted to be that drunk cowboy who kicked the spittoon over!) solid brass spittoon is over a century old! It's the "Big-Boy", "I Mean Business", barroom size, at almost a foot across the rim and 5 1/2 inches tall. (Makes it a lot easier to hit the mark when you've had a few). While very sturdy, the top easily detaches for easy and thorough cleaning. This beauty was first patented in 1884, and this one was cast in July of 1918. It had many decades of service before being stored away. I know. I was the one who cleaned it! It is in EXCELLENT condition for its age, and quite serviceable. What a PERFECT gift for your own – or somebody close’s Man-Cave or bar! Snap this one up. These don’t come along every day!
