Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA) are conditions in which the cartilage of joints is damaged or destroyed. This results in pain and stiffness in the joints. The major cellular constituent of cartilage is the chondrocyte. In osteoarthritic cartilage the isolated chondrocytes have been shown to produce elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators. Among these are prostaglandins which arise through elevated activity of the COX-2 enzyme.

Contains Calcium – MCHC Marine

Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHC) or marine calcium is calcium in its most natural, organic, nutritious form, and it comes from the bones of deep water fish, not from coral or shells (which are very hard for your body to digest and absorb).

MCHC also contains the correct 2:1 ratio of calcium to phosphorus which allows for maximum retention of these bone nourishing minerals.
