An angle head is a machine tool accessory. After the machine tool is equipped with an angle head, the tool rotation centerline can be angled with the spindle rotation centerline to process the workpiece. It is mainly used in machining centers and gantry milling machines. The light type can be installed in the tool magazine and can be freely switched between the tool magazine and the machine tool spindle; the medium and heavy types have greater rigidity and torque and can be applied to most processing needs.
Because the angle head expands the performance of the machine tool, it is equivalent to adding an axis to the machine tool. It is even more practical than the fourth axis in some large workpieces that are difficult to flip or require high precision.
