The distillery was founded by Scotsman Alastair Brogan, who has brought Scottish whisky making traditions to the Colorado Rockies. This dry, high elevation environment makes for bold and unique spirits. This unpeated American single malt whiskey was made from 100% malted barley and aged for 7 years in a new oak barrel. It has powerful, spicy oak notes on the nose. The palate has hints of clove, red pears, pomegranate, and rich oak. Big, dense, and powerful, yet with a surprising amount of sweetness, this is a true exemplar of a powerhouse American single malt aged in new oak. Near hazmat, this powerful dram is a great crossover into American single malt for lovers of intense, powerful bourbons.
