This design is extremely sensitive to some more than others. When I first posted a picture of this design on social media, it was of the original design, with the inscription of "Your first breath took ours away," as expected, comments began to appear of people tagging friends that may like this piece. But then, other comments appeared such as, "My baby passed away shortly before birth." 

Then, the most humbling one came when a mother said, "My baby didn't even get to take a first breath." 

When I originally designed this, I had intended it to be for expecting mothers or new mothers, not even thinking the dual nature of the design. The whole design was about the warmth, safety and security a baby feels with the loving embrace of their mother - that's what the wings represented. I honestly did not take the wings literally as angel wings, other than the notion that it's "your little angel."

How naive of me... 

Quickly, I designed another version with the inscription "In Loving Memory" to make it more special for those little angels that became angels far too soon.
