It has a silver collar, this is hallmarked Birmingham 1934 and stamped with the silversmith's mark "F.N."
These initials stand for Frederick Narborough who was recorded as a whip mounter in Green Street, Doriton, Birmingham
There are a few dents in the collar.
The shaft or stock is covered in chestnut brown braided leather.
The whip has its original stitched bridle leather keeper.
