Built as a modern interpretation of the classic Grizzly jacket, the Kodiak draws directly from early American workwear while elevating the construction, materials, and long-term durability.

The shell is cut from 1.5 mm vegetable-tanned black cowhide, selected for its strength, structure, and ability to develop character with wear. The front and back panels feature genuine hair-on cowhide, creating natural contrast and texture against the smooth leather body. Each hide displays organic variation in tone and pattern, ranging from lighter caramel browns to deeper, richer shades. No two jackets are excactly identical, and these differences are an intentional part of the design and material authenticity.

A Talon main zipper anchors the front closure, paired with a fully removable and adjustable waist belt for fit customization and versatile styling. The back features a French-seamed action panel running down the centre, improving mobility while reinforcing structural integrity. Discreet hand-warmer pockets are integrated for everyday comfort without disrupting the clean lines of the jacket.

Inside, the Kodiak is lined with 100% cotton twill in a sage green finish. Two interior pockets are included, one open and one zippered, providing practical storage. A low-profile pointed collar and adjustable snap cuffs complete the silhouette, maintaining a clean, functional profile rooted in heritage design.

Note on Natural Variation

The hair-on cowhide panels are a natural material and will vary from jacket to jacket. Expect organic differences in shade, pattern, and texture, ranging from lighter to darker brown tones. These variations are part of the character of the hide and ensure that each Kodiak is truly one of a kind.

Maintenance 

Hair-on cowhide requires minimal maintenance but benefits from gentle care. Brush occasionally with a soft brush, allow the jacket to air out after wear, and store on a wide hanger in a dry, breathable environment. Avoid conditioning, washing, or using chemical cleaners on the hair side. With proper care, your jacket will develop character and last for many years.

Each jacket is designed in Toronto and built in our own dedicated workshop in Pakistan. We oversee every step — from pattern drafting to leather selection to final inspection. Every jacket is individually photographed, measured, and quality-checked before leaving the shop. We produce in small batches using full-grain leathers, custom hardware, and offer complimentary custom sizing on all builds.
