The wine opens up with a fruity nose, exhibiting notes of wild raspberry, sour cherry and strawberry, complemented by earthy notes of leather, forest floor and oak. In the mouth, “Les Sorbets” shows an excellent structure and some tartness, with swirling flavours of redcurrant, raspberry, cranberry and liquorice. The finish is fruity and long-lasting. Some time spent ageing in the bottle will reveal more pungent flavours on the nose and subtle spice flavours.

Consider pairing this wine with refined meat dishes or fine semi-soft cheeses, like Comté or Gruyère.
