This vintage 1960s (possibly earlier) capeline is made from seagrass straw and crin braid, spiralled into a hat body which can easily be steamed and moulded into a terrific summer hat! The seagrass braid has an intricate pattern and is made slightly more rigid with the addition of clear crin-like threads that support the structure of the braid. 

Capeline measures:
Flat measurement from crown tip to brim: 28cm (11 inches)
Brim width from side crown to brim edge: 9cm (3.5 inches)
