I'm no connoisseur of antique sporting equipment, but once in a while an old mitt, or football, or here, softball, will strike me as especially beautiful, and as a very nice thing to live with. I believe this one, with outside seams, dates to the first quarter of the 20th c. or so. I really love the color and surface wear/aging to the soft, thick leather skin, and must say that it feels really great to toss around.

Approx 3 1/2" in diameter and very sound, with a terrific patina and lots of years in it yet I think, should one wish to put it into backyard play.
