A Maroon & White Cavalry Throat Plume or Beard with Shamrocks - cav059This is a plume of maroon and white horsehair It is suspended from a brass globe and socket. The globe is engraved with shamrocks indicating a link to an Irish regiment. There is a suspension loop at the top of the globe with a long tan leather strap with two brass buckles It would have been worn under the throat of an officer's charger, but I do not know which regiment Measurements : Total length ( not including leather strap) : approx 21 inches
