I've been especially attentive lately to paper and fabric and thread and ribbon color sample cards of all sorts--very much about the joys of color, both subtle and bold, but also about their design, and tactility/tangibility, and orderliness, and sense of creative possibility! Anyway, the Howard Bond paper samples here are lovely, with the colors like sherbet flavors, and I like the the long narrow cutout window through which one can view them, like a test strip. (One can then unfold the whole thing to get to the larger stapled down paper swatches) Garrett Buchanan Co. Philadelphia, c. 1920s.
