Soft, airy, and delicate, with a subtle alpaca halo that blooms gently after washing. The yarn feels light in the hand yet produces fabric with warmth, fluidity, and refined structure.

I knitted the sample using US size 4 needles with a single strand. The yarn on the cone has a light wax finish, so initially it may not feel very soft. After a gentle soak in lukewarm water with a little shampoo for about 15 minutes, it softened beautifully and became much more pleasant to the touch. For very sensitive skin, it may still feel slightly textured, but for most it is comfortable and wonderfully natural, with a subtle rustic countryside character. It is not “cloud-like” baby alpaca — instead, it offers depth, authenticity, and a refined earthy charm that looks especially beautiful in jacquards.

This yarn also works lovely as a companion — you may hold it together with mohair or a fluffy alpaca to add softness and more halo. On its own, it remains a balanced and elegant natural blend. With 25% polyamide, it has excellent strength and durability, making it a great choice for socks as well. The added polyamide also helps the fabric hold its shape and dry faster. For lightweight garments, one strand is enough. For warmer winter pieces, I recommend holding two strands together.
