Garcinia humilis, commonly known as Achachairú, Achacha, or Bolivian Mangosteen, is a small evergreen fruit tree from the Amazon basin of Bolivia, now cultivated in tropical regions worldwide. It grows 4–8 meters tall with glossy green leaves and produces attractive orange to reddish-brown oval fruits about 5–6 cm long. The thin rind encloses a juicy, white pulp that is refreshingly tangy-sweet with 1–3 seeds inside. Highly valued for its delicious taste, long shelf life, and high vitamin C content, Garcinia humilis is enjoyed fresh, in juices, and in desserts. With its compact size, ornamental appeal, and exotic fruits, this plant is an excellent choice for home gardens and commercial orchards in warm climates.
