Danish craftsmanship meets Cuban tradition in this Stauning Rye - Cuban Rum Cask Finish. Made from 100% locally sourced, floor-malted rye and barley, this whisky is created in our grain-to-glass distillery, where we honor traditional production methods to develop a spirit with true depth and character.

Initially aged for 1.5 years in new American virgin white oak barrels, the whisky is then transferred to a first-fill Cuban rum cask for an additional 4.5 years. Known for its balance of rich molasses, sun-ripened tropical fruit, and a touch of earthy tobacco, Cuban rum adds a distinctive flavour profile to our rye whisky.

This cask enhances the whisky with notes of vanilla, dried fruits, citrus, cinnamon layered with deeper tones of tobacco, leather and roasted malt. The result is a whisky that combines sweetness with a lingering, warming spice, offering a smooth and complex finish that captures the essence of both Denmark and Cuba.
