• Astrophytum myriostigma, commonly known as the Bishop’s Cap, is a sculptural and spineless cactus native to the high deserts of northeastern Mexico. The plant is approximately 15–20 years old—distinguished by its tall, columnar form, velvety texture, and five distinct ribs lightly dusted with white trichomes. These small dots act as natural sun protection, giving the cactus its characteristic silvery sheen. Over time, the plant develops a dignified, weathered surface that adds to its antique beauty. In spring, it may produce soft yellow flowers at the crown, adding a gentle contrast to its sculptural presence.
• Water Needs:
  Low; water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Avoid watering during winter dormancy.

  Full sun to bright indirect light. Strong light helps maintain compact, even growth.
