Sometimes referred to as an Easter Cactus, the spring cactus is a distant relative to the ever popular holiday cactus (Christmas or Thanksgiving bloomers). Unlike other cacti that typically grow in deserts, these tropical, epiphytic cactuses typically grow on rocks and other plants. Pot in a well draining soil blend but remember to water these more frequently than your typical cactus! They don't enjoy getting completely dry between waterings when actively blooming and will typically do best in bright indirect light. Too much light can cause their delicate, fleshy leaves to burn. During periods of dormancy, allow your plant to dry out almost completely between waterings.
