SoundTube CM82‑EZ‑II 8-Inch In‑Ceiling Coaxial Speaker

The CM82‑EZ‑II and the shallow‑backcan CM82‑EZS‑II are 8″ coaxial in‑ceiling speakers engineered for economical, high‑efficiency commercial audio installations. Offered in black or white paintable steel finishes, they deliver clear background music and paging coverage with minimal depth requirements.

Both models feature an 8″ polypropylene woofer with butyl-rubber surround and a 1″ silk dome tweeter. They include a six‑position rotary transformer tap switch supporting 25 V, 70.7 V, 100 V or 16 Ω direct connection. The EZ‑II has ~89 dB sensitivity; the EZS‑II offers slightly lower sensitivity (~88 dB) with a compact 3.75″ backcan depth for tight plenum spaces.

Ideal for hotels, retail, restaurants, hospitals, or offices, both products come with installation accessories including a tile bridge (or pre-construction bracket), paint shield, conduit clamp and wire nuts. UL 1480/2043, cUL and CE certified.
