I'm in perpetual quest of great planters, as I believe one can never have enough plants, and they ought to be planted in vessels worthy of them! This hand thrown stoneware/earthenware planter fits the bill--the perfect mix of rustic and refined, which would look terrific filled with just about any smallish plant. The exterior is a dark, rough, earthy brown decorated with white stripes, while the interior is glazed to make the planter watertight. It's signed on the bottom with a triple "e".

5 1/2" at widest, 4 5/8" tall, with an opening of 4 1/4" across. The lip is a bit irregular due to the roughness of the clay; there may be one very small chip (see last photo) but it would not be noticeable with a plant inside.
