Hop Guard 3

HopGuard 3 is a hop compound–based miticide designed to help reduce varroa mite levels inside honey bee colonies. Derived from hop beta acids, it provides an alternative treatment option for beekeepers managing mite pressure.

Each kit contains 10 ready-to-use insert strips.

Detailed Description

HopGuard 3 is a miticide formulated from hop beta acids and is designed for in-hive varroa mite management. The strips are inserted directly between brood frames where bees contact the treatment during normal activity.

Each kit includes 10 insert strips. Application rate is based on colony strength:

• Use 2 strips per brood chamber

• Apply 1 strip per 5 frames of bees

• Use 2 strips per 10 frames of bees

Strips should be hung between brood frames according to label directions.

HopGuard 3 may be used in a variety of hive configurations, including Langstroth hives, top bar hives, nucleus colonies, splits, mating nucs, drone mother colonies, and newly installed packages.

Daytime temperatures should be above 50°F (10°C) during application. Always refer to the product label for complete instructions and application guidelines.
