I love these Dara Knot earring studs. Celtic knots date back to the 8th Century and the looped pattern goes on infinitely. It is thought to represent the eternity of life because they have no start & no finish. They highlight the cycle of birth, life, death & rebirth although due to their positive interpretation, they often represent love, happiness, faith and friendship.
The studs are made with the help of British Made Gemina hardened steel dies. They are formed by melting a pebble of silver, then using a hand held hydraulic press, they are 'squished' into the design. Each stud is slightly different due to the process. Even measuring out the silver so that the pebbles are identical results in varying results. These looks slightly asymmetrical but in all honesty, it makes them unique too.
If you want a perfect pair just let me know & I can shape them perfectly. The posts are 0.8mm in diameter, 8mm long & come with comfort fit butterfly backs - I find that 10mm posts scratch the backs of my ears & can be uncomfy. This way, they're snug & comfortable and yet safe & secure.
