We do not offer bearings for low-end headsets. Instead, we start with chrome steel, Black Oxide A/C, and finally 440C stainless steel bearings. They are always built with the largest possible balls, and their double-lip seals are seated in a small recess for ultimate protection against sweat and the elements. They are 90% filled with high-pressure grease, so you don't have to wonder if there's grease inside. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike standard 2RS, we go a bit further by machining a recess in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with excellent efficiency and resistance compared to an inferior bearing. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 razor-thin sealing lips that slide into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
