An amice is a liturgical vestment generally made from white linen or poly/cotton. Angel Supplies amices are either:

1. secured around the shoulders of the priest with two ribbon-like attachments; or
2. closes over the front attached with velcro (cowl style, as illustrated on this page).

Many priests choose to wear the amice when the alb does not cover the priest’s ordinary clothing or for other traditional reasons, but they are also useful in protecting other vestments from perspiration damage and wear.
