The grapes are sourced from the Tumbalong vineyard in the Gundagai region which has established an enviable reputation for Italian varietals including Sangiovese.

Medium red colour with red hues. Red cherry and earthy aromas and flavours. The palate is complex and spicy with cherry notes and smooth tannins. The finish is long and savoury.

This wine is vegan friendly.

Sangiovese is an absolute knock out wine with anything Italian; pizza and pasta of all sorts, tomato-based sauces, and all of those rustic garden herbs work beautifully. Mushrooms also have a particular affinity with Sangiovese — a creamy mushroom risotto is a match made in heaven.
