According to the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA), speciality coffees scoring between 85 to 100 are classed as 'outstanding'. So, why didn’t we just name it plus 85, we hear you ask? Well, Plus 87 sounds like a Mark Wahlberg film and that for us was good enough. SCA coffee scoring provides a comparative score that you can trust, all based on a multitude of factors relating to the characteristics of a coffee such as flavour, acidity, body and aroma. Of course this is subjective, like everything – well, not everything, for example we know that Mark Wahlberg films aren’t actually any good and there is no disputing it.

The Plus 87 coffee subscription provides only those coffees of a particularly high score, all of which are provided from the best of European coffee roasters.
