Bulgaria is hotly tipped to be a wine region to look out for in the coming years, offering immense bang for your buck - but it should come as no surprise that there are top quality wines coming from Bulgarian producers as they have some rather fine pedigree as a winemaking nation on the world stage.

This top quality rosé sparkling wine comes from the Thracian Lowlands, one of Bulgaria's two PGI recognised quality wine regions, located in the South of the Country and famed for its fertile soils and warm microclimate. Grapes are grown across two vineyards, one of which is organically certified.

Wine has been produced in Bulgaria since antiquity with archaeological evidence suggesting the area was amongst the earliest wine regions in history. In the 1980s Bulgaria was one of the largest wine markets on the international stage and it's said that Winston Churchill was a huge fan of the red wines too, regularly stocking his cellars with barrels and bottles.

Produced from 100% estate-grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes using the same revered bottle-fermented methods as Champagne, this floral, rich and generous wine has undergone 25 months of maturation including long lees ageing to give it a delicious, rich toastiness, with a fine mousse and long finish.
