Condition: Very good condition. The canvas exterior is in very good condition with light wear throughout and slight warping along the top edge and to the rear base. The vachetta trim has developed a deep honey patina and has darkening, surface scratches, and light to moderate rubbing. The shoulder strap shows loosening to the stitching at both ends of the strap (see photos), but this does not affect its function though it is slightly weakened. The strap also shows light to moderate rubbing, creasing, small surface scratches, a few light marks, and some darkening. The hardware has worn down to its natural brass tone in some areas and is in very good condition with light wear otherwise. The interior shows light wear throughout the main compartment, and more moderate wear and deterioration to the inside lining of the exterior front pocket, as is common with this vintage style lining.
