Hadji Jalili (in some sources Haji Jalili, in others Haji Khalil) led one of the most prestigious carpet ateliers in Tabriz from approximately 1880 through the early 1910s. His workshop became known for an exceptionally refined adaptation of classical Persian medallion vocabulary — softer palette ratios than typical late-Qajar Tabriz, more attention to border-to-field proportional relationships, and a signature use of cream and dusty-rose tracery against deeper grounds (often navy, sometimes burgundy).

The Hadji Jalili register is recognizably distinct from generic Tabriz output: more painterly in floral drawing, more disciplined in border construction, and palette-restrained in a way that became the standard for collector-grade Tabriz pieces. A genuine Hadji Jalili at auction can sell for many multiples of an unmarked Tabriz of comparable age and condition.

Distinct from the cohort's Late-Qajar Tabriz register (used on Dark Gray Late-Qajar sibling) — that's the broader Tabriz tradition; this is the Hadji Jalili master-atelier sub-register specifically. Distinct also from the Ardabil Navy anchor (16th-c. Safavid court).
