Baked Cheesecake with Burnt Butter Cream Cheese Frosting and Burnt Butter Biscuit "The Secretary"

The Secretary is our take on the classic New York Cheesecake and it is DELICIOUS!

We start with the twice baked burnt butter biscuit base which gives you a light caramel aroma with a buttery crunch. Sitting on top of this is a smooth, creamy dreamy baked New York vanilla cheesecake. This cheesecake is not too sweet while being creamy and cheesy at the same time.

Just the biscuit base and the cheesecake layer on their own are beautiful (we have these in dessert bars - check them out here) but we wanted to level this up and make it extra special for celebrations.

So we made a burnt butter cream cheese frosting. This is literally the icing on the cake and it is beautiful! Wonderful aromatic caramel notes really come through with each bite and you experience the three different textures - the crunch of the biscuit base, the smooth cheesecake layer and the lush cream cheese frosting.

And just because, it's accented with edible gold leaf.
