A spectacular iceberg dwafed our ship as we pulled into this Antarctic Bay. Whilst out on the zodiac, unpredictable katabatibc winds blew over the glacier and intensified to over 60 knots, almost hurricane force. Whilst waiting for the ship to reposition, I drove the zodiac over to the the lee of this iceberg to seek some shelter from the brutal wind and building seas. As I got closer, I saw this beautiful ice formation and a penguin there also hiding from the wind. It was a cold rough journey back to the ship but one I will not forget in a long time.
