This whisky is inspired and shaped by the hand of the Master Whisky Maker. Aged only in first-fill Sherry-seasoned casks, it is then bottled at the Whisky Maker's preferred strength. This Speyside offers aromas of resin, rich candied peel and fresh oak. The palate is rich and spicy with creamy vanilla and orange peel, building to a long, fruity finish with more orange peel and a twist of nutmeg. The Whisky Maker's Cut expression from Glenrothes' Soleo Collection is completely matured in first-fill sherry seasoned casks, resulting in punchy notes of orange, cinnamon and dried fruit. The whole range is named after the process of sun-drying grapes in preparation for sherry production, hence the particularly heavy focus on sherry throughout the series.
