This formula uses the environmentally friendly and sustainably-sourced Rauwolfia vomitoria (African snake root) as an alternative to the more common Rauwolfia serpentina (Indian snake root, which is endangered and illegal to export).

We source Hawthorn leaf and flowers from the South of France because they have the highest levels of naturally occurring vitexin when harvested at just the right time. As a result, we can use the whole herb (leaf and flower), without needing solvents to extract vitexin.

Caution: Be sure to monitor the patient’s blood pressure, as it can be fast-acting and become too low. The dosage can be adjusted accordingly, particularly if hypertensive drugs are being used concomitantly.
