Organic Black Pepper (Whole/Powder)

Black pepper (Piper nigrum) is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit, known as black pepper seeds or peppercorn, which is usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning. Black Pepper Powder is the ground version of black pepper that is often used on food preparation to add a sharp, hot, and biting taste.

Black pepper powder is used as a spice in nearly all the world’s cuisines as a pungent, spicy, heating agent for food due to the presence of Capsaicin and Piperine. Even though Sri Lanka caters to merely 2.5% of the global demand for pepper, Ceylon Black Pepper is rich in Piperine, which gives Ceylon Pepper its distinct pungency.
