Bacillus coagulans is a probiotic bacteria naturally microencapsulated for stability, found in the intestinal bacterial flora. This species is considered spore-forming, i.e. it has special properties of producing spores during its life cycle.

Bacillus coagulans  in the capsule remains in an inactive form. Its activation occurs only thanks to the acidic environment of the stomach, thanks to which the increase in the population of microbiota (Bacillus coagulans) occurs only in the intestines. Lactospore® bacteria produce only L(+) lactic acid, which is completely and efficiently metabolized into glycogen, while other probiotics may produce D(-) lactic acid, which is slowly metabolized, which may lead to its unfavorable accumulation. The acidic environment resulting from the production of L(+) lactic acid and other anti-body compounds prevents the development of pathogenic microorganisms such as Clostridia, which are responsible for the production of undesirable gases.

It is assumed that the best conditions for the growth of Bacillus coagulans are temperatures from 30 degrees to 37 degrees C and a pH in the range of 5.5-6.5. This feature makes the bacteria in Lactospore® resistant to most chemical and physical conditions, stable during processing, packaging, shipping and during storage without loss of viability - making the entire product convenient for the consumer and does not require refrigeration.

The composition of the product has been enriched with the active form of vitamin B6 in the form of pyridocassium-5-phosphate (P-5-P) and soluble acacia fiber Inavea™  with low water activity aw <0.2, which additionally increases the stability of bacteria inside the capsule. Vitamin B6  helps in the proper functioning of the immune and nervous systems, and also helps in the proper production of red blood cells.
